"The NPORS N403 Vehicle Marshal Training Course is a comprehensive and hands-on program designed to equip learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills to become trained vehicle marshals. The course aims to train individuals to safely and efficiently guide vehicles around site, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practices.

What's does the NPORS Vehicle Marshal Training Course course include? By the end of the training course you should have strong skills in the following areas:

  • Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and your responsibilities as an Vehicle Marshall – Banks person

  • Have knowledge of equipment to be used and be conversant with method statements risk assessments and permits to work

  • Identify and maintain personal protective equipment appropriate for vehicle marshal duties.

  • Conduct all safety checks including blind spots and crush zones

  • Agreed communication signals and emergency procedures

  • Set up work area for safe unloading

  • Guide machinery in a forward and reverse direction including confined spaces and "blind spots" safely and efficiently.

  • Environmental considerations.

  • Carry out all end of shift and shutdown procedures.

Do I have to attend the full course if I'm already experienced? 
This training activity is available for experienced workers who can take an experienced worker test on site. Up to 6 experienced worker tests can be carried out in a day
