Service Description

Online Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) weekend course. this online course is a 5-day training activity. Sessions are provided over 5 days with a total training time of 37.5 hours. This course is running over 3 weekends to reduce costs and impacts on work schedules. Note The grace period for site safety plus courses has now expired and you must complete the refresher course BEFORE your existing certificate expires or you'll need to attend the full SMSTS course. Overview It covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce. At the end of the course, you will be able to: implement all health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your daily work. implement new guidance and industry best practice. state your duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken. This course is delivered remotely Via zoom over 5 consecutive days. Course dates are Weekend one: 23rd & 24th of September Weekend two: 30th of Sept and 1st of October Weekend three: 7th of October. You must attend all 5 days to achieve a pass mark.
